Dancing Woman

Hello everyone,
I always get so excited when it's my turn to share a project.
This time I've made a quick tutorial for you using the beautiful Dancing Woman stamp from Rubber Dance.

She is seriously one of the most feminine stamps around
and I wanted to show that side of her to you on this tag.

Firstly, I've stamped her onto tissue paper (the smooth side) with StaZon and used a water brush to gently tear away the excess tissue paper. I flipped it over and painted her dress, and flowers, with slightly watered down white acrylic paint.

The background is made by dragging some acrylic paint (Dina Wakely Media paint in Umber) over some cardstock with an old credit card. I've swiped it in different directions.
Then I've used white acrylic paint in random areas around the edge.
It looks a little messy, but that's okay.

I then painted some gel medium, very, very carefully, onto the back of the tissue paper and onto the background where I wanted the lady to be placed. You can see that I've accidentally lost her foot. Looks like I need little disguising in that area.
I've also added some more white acrylic paint around the edge with my trusty old credit card ... then I thought that while I had the credit card all painty I may as well add some lines with it.

Using a sponge I've dabbed some more umber to tone down the white a little.
Also to add a bit of a border.  I just kept playing with the paints ... that's the fun part.

And to finish off I've trimmed it into a tag shape, white embossed a word from the Something Wonderful set, stamped some flowers from the Antique Botanicals set onto the background and filled the blooms in with a little white paint, flicked some left over paint and edged the card with black archival and carefully blended it onto the tag.

I think she is one of the most beautiful stamps.

Art Journal inspiration

Hello Everyone Debs here today to share a page in my small journal. It’s a double page spread this time, which is unusual for me as I like to stick to one page, as I find stamping across two can be difficult, although not impossible.

Please join me on my blog to get the details of how I created this spread.

The next big sheet with adorable penguin stampss is designed by our DT member Susanne Rose. Also 13 x 18 cm (5 x 7 inches) and will retail at €18,50 - on sale at €14,80!

The two sheets below are full of funny sentiments, made by yours truly *
and they're both 13 x 9 cm, regular price €9,75 - on sale at only €7,80 each!

* The one on You Rock that says "I wish I could bottle you up and sprinkle you everywhere", is something DT Donna said about a friend ("She's so sweet, I wish I could bottle her up and sprinkle her everywhere!"), and I got Donna's permission to turn that into a stamp.
I think we all know a person like that, I know I do - and Donna is one of them ♥

The tags and card above are just samples of how you can use sentiments from the Adore Me set.
I've combined them with some of our old stamps.

Wanna see the rest of our samples with the new stamps? Get ready - there's quite a lot! :-)

Let's start with Guest Designer Dorthe Hansen from Denmark
who made this lovely card, using the ice skates
and other images from Whimsical Winter:

I used to skate every winter as a child,
but this is the only way I use ice skates nowadays:

More ice skates samples, made by Donna:

The two wood signs to the left was made using a woodburner pen!!
The one to the right was white embossed and has a led light candle inside.
WOW!

Another lovely cabin make by Donna,
and the adorable snowman ...er... snowcat juggling snowballs:

It's cold out, so we need mittens - these were attached to a lolly stick:

Aren't those mittens cute?

Notice the baby penguin inside the mitten to the right.
How adorable!!

Mittens stamps on felt and cut out. Brill idea!

I've used the mittens, too ...  Actually, they didn't fit my hands...
so I gave them to the snowcat from Whimsical Winter:

And one of the Playful Penguins wanted to use the mittens, too!

Another Playful Penguin below, this time rescued by a friendly whale...
(from Whale Wishes), with one of the new sentiments from Adore Me,
and clouds from Whimsical Summer:

Another Playful Penguin sample -
I made this sign for our bathroom which has a beach theme:

I hope our artwork have given you some ideas you want to try out.
Dig into your stash and see if you already have the stamps you need,
(most of us are on a budget, I get that!)
or grab the opportunity right now and order our new stamps - at a 20 % discount:

Thanks for stopping by today!

and what we've made with them. - We appreciate your feedback!
